AJE’s Yom Limmud: San Diego's Community Day of Learning

January 24th-25th, 2009 ~ Lawrence Family JCC, JACOBS FAMILY CAMPUS

The Agency for Jewish Education proudly presents the fourth annual Yom Limmud: San Diego's Community Day of Learning. This year, as part of Yom Limmud, the AJE is proud to present the San Diego debut of the original musical "Freedom Song," a powerful story that highlights the historic universality of the struggle to free oneself from external oppression and internal bondage. With Jewish themed lectures and activities for adults and children ages 5 and up, this promises to be a day of learning (Yom Limmud) surpassing what has come before.

The San Diego Jewish Film Festival (SDJFF) is part of the San Diego Center for Jewish Culture (SDCJC), at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, JACOBS FAMILY CAMPUS. Since its inception in 1990, the San Diego Jewish Film Festival has become one of the largest and most prestigious festivals of its kind in the country, and is one of the highest attended cultural events in San Diego.

The First Basket-A Special Maccabi Experience Event

Look Who’s Playing! National Girls and Women in Sports Day

February 1, 2009 9:00am-1:00pm ~ The Lawrence Family JCC, JACOBS FAMILY CAMPUS Fitness Center

National Girls and Women in Sports Day is celebrated in all 50states with community-based events, award ceremonies, and activities honoring the achievements and encouraging participation of girls and women in sports. Throughout this event participate will be able to participate in numerous clinics like soccer, softball, swimming, water polo, tennis, aerobics, yoga, plus so much more. This event is for both mother and daughter to participate. There will also be a multi sport clinic for children ages 3-5 years.
