TWO 4-WEEK SESSIONS:
Session 1: June 23 – July 18 Session 2: July 21 – August 15
Madrichim is Camp Jaycee’s counselor-in-training (CIT) program for selected 10th/11th graders, and is designed to develop leadership skills in all camp areas. The first week of each session features training in conflict resolution, community service, age/group characteristics, activity planning, and decision-making.
At the end of the four week session, campers receive a certificate of completion. This cohesive group gains work experience with a variety of ages under the supervision of trained Camp Jaycee staff. CITs work with preschoolers through third grade campers. Must commit to a full four week session or both sessions.
A CIT application must be submitted along with a letter of recommendation and a personal interview with the Camp Directors. Call to set up your appointment with Lynette Northcutt, Director of Madrichim, at (858) 362-1354. Due to the overwhelming response of the CIT program, participation is limited to one summer only.
