Seniors Overview
The Senior Adult Department of the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, JACOBS FAMILY CAMPUS, promotes Jewish cultural heritage and values by providing social, educational, and recreational programs. Through these programs we strengthen our connections to our community and keep alive our history and traditions. The Senior Adult Program encourages us to learn, grow and enrich our lives among others who share our values.

Classical Connections

Sex, Love & Aging
Thursday, May 30 • 2:30 P.M.
You’re never too old for love and companionship! Whether it’s your second time around or you’re still madly in love with your first, a healthy sex life is important as we age, too. In this open discussion facilitated by social worker and Rabbi, Gary Katz (from Breakfast with the Mob), we will talk about relationships, love and safer
sex, and answer questions (written anonymously by participants at the beginning). Rabbi Katz can share the various Jewish perspectives on these topics, too. Singles and couples welcome.

"Under the Sea" Ball
Sunday, June 23 • 2:00–5:00 P.M.
“Cruise” on over to the JCC for our Under the Sea Ball! No passports or motion sickness pills needed for this afternoon of fun for singles and couples alike. Bring a friend for food, games, prizes, music, dancing and entertainment, and we’ll have a ball! Everyone who pays in advance receives extra raffle tickets at the event for even more chances to win fabulous prizes!

Free counseling at the JCC once a month!
The Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) provides individual and confidential counseling related to Medicare and long term care insurance. State certified HICAP counselors can help you with these services and more:
• Understand your Medicare benefits
• Review Medicare Advantage options (HMO, PPO, PFFS)
• Compare Part D drug plans
HICAP counseling on Medicare will be at the
JCC once a month for one hour appointments. To make an appointment with a

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
Please stop by the Senior Department offices or the Fitness Front Desk to fill out an "Emergency Form." These will only be used just in case something should happen to you while participating in a JCC program or working out in our facility, and we need to know whom to contact on your behalf (closest relative, preferred hospital, doctors number, etc.). If you have filled one out in the past, please complete a new one so that we have the most current information available.
