The fun does not stop after the school year is over! Join us this
summer for 7 weeks of exploration, discoveries and transformation
as we challenge ourselves on some amazing adventures! Prices and

SESSION 1 –MISSION BAY BLAST
5 Day San Diego Program: June 22-26, 2009 • 9:00 A.M.–3:30 P.M.
Join us for a one-week water sports adventure!
Learn how to wakeboard, water ski, kneeboard,
tube and ride around Mission Bay on
wave runners. Every day we will have a picnic
on the beach as well as additional games,
sports and team building activities.
SESSION 2 – SURF SAFARI
4 Day San Diego Program: June 29-July 2, 2009 • 9:00 A.M.–3:30 P.M.
Join us for a one week surfing camp with Surf Sessions in Del Mar.
Spend all afternoon mastering the waves. There will be other camp and
water activities all week, ultimate Frisbee, beach volleyball and a BBQ!
SESSION 3 – YOSEMITE DISCOVERY
5 Days, 4 Nights Travel Program: July 6-10, 2009
Drop off on Monday by 8:00 A.M. • Return on Friday by 5:00 P.M.
Explore the natural wonders of California’s “Crown Jewel,” Yosemite
National Park. Breathtaking views of towering granite cliffs, thundering
waterfalls, steep mountains and deep alpine lakes await us. Activities
include horseback riding, rock climbing, hiking and campfire programs.
Sleeping accommodations in hotels and tent cabins.
SESSION 4–WHITE WATER RAFTING ON KING’S RIVER
5 Days, 3 Nights Travel Program: July 13-17, 2009
Hiking, white water rafting, exploring thundering waterfalls and taking
in the beautiful nature that will surround us–join us for a 3-day
trip to King’s Canyon! We will be staying at a campground near the
River. Monday, July 13th we will be spending the day in San Diego
doing some exciting activities before we head out to King’s River on
Tuesday, July 14th.
SESSION 5 – SAN DIEGO ADVENTURE
5 Day San Diego Program: July 20-24, 2009 • 9:00 A.M.– 3:30 P.M.
Are you ready for a wild week? We will be enjoying
fun-filled days in San Diego paintballing, rockclimbing,
hiking, Padres game and plenty more
activities to keep you on your feet in the sunny
days of Summer in San Diego.
SESSION 6 – COASTER CARAVAN
5 Days, 4 Nights Travel Program: July 27-31, 2009
Drop off on Monday by 8:00 A.M. • Return on Friday by 5:00 P.M.
This 5 day adventure will take us to the biggest and the baddest
amusement parks of Southern California. Our thrill seeking will have
us at Six Flags Magic Mountain, California Adventure Park, Knotts
Berry Farm, Disneyland and more.
SESSION 7– COLLEGE ADMISSIONS CRASH COURSE
4 Day Session: August 10-13, 2009
Monday to Thursday 9:00 A.M.– 1:00 P.M. OR 4:00 P.M.– 8:00 P.M.
Calling all 11th and 12th graders! Prepare for the college application
process with two certified college consultants.
Students will:
• Create an organized college box to gather all information in one place.
• Using a “best fit” philosophy, students will research and narrow
a target list of colleges within their personal reach, range, and
“really sure” categories.
• Prepare a college calendar with important dates and deadlines
for Senior Year.
• Develop a personal activities resume, for a more detailed application
and for teacher and counselor letters of recommendation.
• Complete the UC, CSU and Common Applications for easy
transfer to the online applications in the fall.
• Brainstorm, draft, and write personal statements, short answer,
and other essays for individual applications.
Madrichim (Leaders)Counselor-in-Training
Grades 10–11

Two 4-week sessions:
Session 1: June 22–July 17, 2009 • Session 2: July 20–August 14, 2009
Madrichim, Camp Jaycee’s Counselor-in-training (CIT) program for
selected 10th/11th graders, is designed to develop leadership skills in
all camp areas. The first week of each session features training in
conflict resolution, community service, age/group characteristics,
activity planning, and decision making. At the end of the four week
session, campers receive a certificate of completion. This cohesive
group gains work experience with a variety of ages under the supervision
of trained Camp Jaycee staff. CIT’s work with preschoolers
through third grade campers. Must commit to a full four week
session or both sessions. A CIT application must be submitted along
with a letter of recommendation and a personal interview with the
Camp Directors. Call to set up your appointment with the Director
of Madrichim, at (858) 362-1132. Due to the overwhelming response
of the CIT program, participation is limited to one summer only.
TEENS ENTERING 12TH GRADE OR GOING INTO COLLEGE
