The Drill for Skills Academy will focus on building individual skills development as well as speed and agility building. Each workout is structured to be an intense, fast-paced training. The academy is open to all skill levels. Each day players will spend time working on fundamental skill development, such as basic footwork, ball handling, and shot form. After a basic fundamental warm-up, players will be coached on more advanced development, such as single and double moves off the dribble, creating space off the dribble and for a shot, reading the defense, positioning, reading and making cuts off of screens, and developing skills related to all positions whether a point guard or a center.

The academy will also incorporate some speed and agility drills using ladders, cones, and other apparatus useful in the development of the quick-twitch muscles. The goal of the academy is to build the players’ skill level, while also giving them the valuable tools that will allow them to conduct the drills on their own.
