Two 4-Week Sessions
In Camp Gesher, your child enjoys a variety of summer activities as he/she develops existing skills and acquires new ones. On the first day, Gesher campers choose their own chugim (electives) based on their personal interests and grades. Weekly themes and field trips provide a framework for this spirited camp. On Fridays, Gesher enjoys story time in the Astor Judaica Library. Each session, campers enjoy a late night activity that includes sports, games, dinner, and a movie. Energetic counselors lead this traditional, well-rounded camp.
Gesher Spanish: Grades K–1 as part of traditional Gesher. As part of the Camp Gesher Unit, families can decide to have their campers be a part of the Spanish Immersion group. In addition to participating in all the activities as part of Camp Gesher, participants will engage in language studies and incorporate Spanish immersion into their day.
Gesher Hebrew: Grades 2-3 as part of traditional Gesher. Send your campers to Gesher Hebrew Immersion, part of the Camp Gesher Unit. Hebrew will be the primary language spoken during two 4-week sessions of fun with swimming, arts, sports, music and field trips. Hebrew Immersion does not include Hebrew Instruction, but there will be an emphasis on language acquisition through themed vocabulary. This is an ideal setting for campers who want to learn Hebrew.
