Types of Sessions
This is an overall full body massage with no particular area of focus. Excellent for those wishing to refill their reserves, who are under a great deal of stress, ill, or new to massage. Pressure tends to range from light to medium. Techniques may include aromatherapy, reflexology, Swedish massage, myofascial release, assisted stretching and energetic bodywork (Reiki).
Focused time is spent on one or two areas that need attention, with a quick overall full body as well. This is excellent for athletes during season and people who want an overall detox and some pain relief of target areas, such as the shoulders, back, or neck. Pressure ranges from light to deep. Techniques may include firm Swedish, Myofascial Release, aromatherapy, Assisted Stretching and Neuromuscular Therapy.
Although all sessions are therapeutic, this style is specifically designed to cause lasting change in the body, which is quite different than a tune-up or relaxation massage. This style is excellent for athletes off-season, those looking for more significant results rather than a quick fix, and those who are willing to put the time and effort into getting those results. Together, you and Erinn will determine which areas need attention, and then the entire session is spent releasing those areas, possibly as part of a treatment plan. The full body is not worked on. Pressure can range from extremely light to extremely deep, depending on your body’s needs. Techniques used may include CranioSacral Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, SomatoEmotional Release, PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) Stretching (different than Assisted Stretching), Trigger Point Release (Acupressure), Orthopedic Massage and Reiki.
This is when you like the therapist to decide / know what to work on and whether you should receive a relaxation, tune-up or therapeutic session, and which techniques to use. The only question at the beginning of an Intuitive session is “How would you like to feel when you leave?” And then, with Erinn’s ability to listen to the body, she creates a session that will do that.
It is vital to remain relaxed during pregnancy for the health of Mom and baby, and regular pregnancy massages are one of the most effective way to do that. Pillows and special positioning are used to maximize Mom’s comfort as her body changes, special pregnancy guidelines are followed to protect the well-being of her and the baby, and care is coordinated with any treatment plans given by your doctor.

Scott is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and a graduate from School of Healing Arts in San Diego. Beyond his vast experience working with clients, Scott has done extensive study in CranioSacral Therapy with both the Upledger Institute and the Biodynamic School in Santa Fe New Mexico. Scott is also one of our Pilates specialists here at the JCC and brings to his clients an awareness of body mechanics and common injuries. Scott believes in an integrated and therapeutic approach to healing that includes proper assessment, deep tissue, passive mobilization and a nurturing touch.
About Mike Relucio, CSCS, HHP
Currently providing massage therapy and personal training, Mike is an experienced massage therapist specializing in Sports Therapy and strength and conditioning.
Sports Therapy is a massage modality that incorporates Zen Shiatsu, Trigger Point, Sports Massage and Myoskeletal Alignment Technique. The focus of the session is to lengthen the muscle fibers and assist with releasing fascia adhesion to help with pain management and better functional movement. Mike’s priority is to support individuals in achieving life balance through personal Fitness and Wellness. Mike is a firm believer in the inseparable connection between body/mind. He believes in massage as a viable modality for enhancing overall health, well-being as well improving recovery and performance. Mike holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Holistic Health and is a Registered Holistic Health Practitioner.
