Our story is filled with joy, togetherness, and love for every new arrival! Help us continue this tradition for the next 25 Years! Shalom Baby is designed to help San Diego families raising Jewish children celebrate the arrival of their Jewish newborns and welcome them to the San Diego Jewish Community through gift baskets, playgroups, social events, holiday celebrations, and resource guides.
This successful outreach program has expanded to meet new parents' needs by offering: infant massage, Shalom Baby Together – You & Me music and movemement, baby book clubs, sleep solutions classes, and more.

We will gather in our classroom for a quick morning circle, then off to play, explore and get messy! Enjoy gym with our PE Specialist Coach Dru, and finish off our day outside in the smaller preschool playground. Every class will incorporate music and movement, the Jewish holidays will be celebrated, and each day ends with bubbles and stamps.

Introducing Shalom Horim — a new name for the warm, thoughtful community many of you have loved as LAB. Same great people, same great vibe… just with a refreshed purpose and a slightly bigger table.
Shalom Horim means “peace” and “parents/teachers,” and that’s exactly what we’re creating: a space where parents and grandparents can pause, reflect, and explore how Jewish values shape our lives, and how we pass those values to the little ones we love. Let’s be honest: parenting (and grandparenting) is full of big questions. But before we can guide our kids, we have to ask ourselves — where do I stand? What matters most to me?
No judgment. No prerequisites. No pop quizzes. Just open-hearted conversation, facilitated discussions, and shared wisdom. Whether you’ve been part of LAB before or you’re new and curious, we’d love for you to join us. This is a space to nourish your mind, feed your soul, and maybe even laugh a little along the way.

From our first meeting in September 2005, our babies have continued to grow up together - learning and developing, and preserving the friendships and bonds built a decade ago.
