Preseason Triathlon Preparation

Sundays • 10:00–11:15 A.M.

Our 8 week program will help you prepare for the
upcoming sprint triathlons this season. If you have
thought about running in a triathlon or taking on a
new fitness challenge, this is a great program to get
you started. Your training plan includes: swimming
biomechanics in our Olympic size pool, bike set up,
running mechanics and heart rate training. The
instructor will assist in designing training schedule.

Speed & Agility Training For Athletes

Tuesdays & Thursdays • 3:30–4:30 P.M.

Do you want to make the varsity team or work to
compete at the next level for your sport? Get faster,
stronger, fitter and more agile in this 6 week program
created to help you achieve your goals. Each
session is designed for young athletes, age 13-18,
to increase speed and improve agility while
emphasizing proper technique. We will build
the foundation for each athlete to shine in their
prospective sports!

Yoga & Pilates

Restorative Yoga

In restorative Yoga, the postures are presented in an easy to follow, slow and accessible manner, with plenty of time for modifications. Props are often used to enable a longer rest in the pose and to allow for a deeper release. The more your body is supported in the poses, the deeper the sense of relaxation. Restorative Yoga may include breathe work and guided meditation to rejuvenate the body and focus the mind. This is excellent for seniors and for people suffering from chronic illnesses or injury. Students new to the practice of yoga will become more confident in their practice to try other variations.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga I

Vinyasa is the alignment of movement and breath, a method which turns static asana into a dynamic flow. Focusing on fundamental poses in detail, you will gain an understanding, which can be easily built upon. You will increase your strength and flexibility, develop mind-body awareness and alignment, and learn to integrate breath with movement. This class is great for beginners or those who prefer a slower flow. Modifications are always offered.

Ashtanga/Power Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga is a system of yoga introduced to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This method blends breath and movement, increasing the body’s heat, in order to sweat and purify. You will also increase your strength and flexibility and develop mind-body awareness and alignment.

Pilates Personal Training

Pilates is a body conditioning method that helps to increase flexibility, build strength, and improve endurance for long lean muscles. It puts emphasis on breathing, alignment, and a strong core while improving coordination and balance. We are committed to helping each individual improve their health and heighten their self awareness with our individualized approach. Come work with our highly trained instructors, Scott and Karina, who have been a part of the JCC family for over seven years.
