Combines carefully selected movements and concepts from Yoga, Tai Chi, Tae Kwan Do, Aikido, Jazz, Modern Dance and other movement forms. Nia classes offer total-body cardiovascular conditioning and crosstraining for any sport or activity. All Nia movements are adaptable and can be personalized for any level of fitness and agility. No prior training is necessary.

Triathlon Training Camp for Beginners

Sundays
8-week program, call for dates and times

Reach your fitness peak for the Solana Beach Sprint Triathlon! Learn everything you need to know about running, biking, swimming, brick workouts, transitions and more for your first triathlon! This is a 1/4 mile ocean swim; 9-mile bike and 3-mile run. You must bring your own bike. Space is limited to 20 participants.

Swimmer of The Month

Gold: Mitchell Tuey

Mitchell moved up into our Gold level a few months back and has shown tremendous growth there. He comes to practice ready to work and ready to laugh. He has shown a strong level of dedication and concentration when it comes to learning new techniques or just making it through a difficult swim set. He is a great example for the other swimmers.

Silver: LeeAnne Bates

LeeAnne has been with the Barracudas for a while, and has shown to be a true competitor and someone that is willing to help others. Recently she noticed a new teammate a little nervous to come out to practice. leeAnne stuck by her side, offered encouraging words and helped her throughout practice. This act showed that LeeAnne not only knows how to be a good swimmer, but how to be a great leader and friend..

Bronze: Evie Gedminas

Evie had spent the last few months with the JCC Barracudas listening closely and working hard on her strokes. She comes to practice with a smile on her face and eager to learn even more. Evie has shown great improvement when it comes to her freestyle and side breathing.
