Triathlon Training Program

Training Dates: Sundays, 10:00 – 11:15 a.m.
March 9, 16, 23, 30, April 6, 13, 27, May 4
In preparation for Race Day on May 18, 2014

Our 8-week program will help you establish and maintain a strong foundation in the three events for the Belmont Park Triathlon on May 18, 2014. The triathlon is a 200 meter swim, 65K bike and a 3.1K run. Your training plan includes:
• Conditioning and injury prevention
• Brick workouts
• Biomechanics
• Proper bike set up
• Zone training, rate of perceived effort (RPE)
• Sport nutrition

Coach William Hansen is a multisport athlete, runner, and JCC master swim and spin coach with over 20 years of activity in various sports including racing, BMX cycling, speed skating, downhill ski racing and motorsports. Will, a Presidential Fitness Award recipient, has in depth experience in overall training with a keen ability to communicate and coach in an effective, easy and fun manner to help anyone reach their goals regardless of athletic background or age. You can use this program for overall conditioning or to prepare for a race. Minimum of 6 to start program.

Prenatal Yoga

Thursdays from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Prenatal Yoga is one of the best things you can do during your pregnancy! Shelley’s Prenatal Yoga classes prepare mamas for labor and birth on multiple levels. Women gain strength, flexibility while easing aches and pains. Shelley guides you deeply into your own heart, facilitating a connection with your baby and your highest, most Divine Self. Prenatal yoga is a great place to meet other like-minded women embarking on their journey into motherhood! Classes run in 8-week sessions.

Mixed Modality Bootcamp

Tuesdays / Thursdays from 6:30 - 7:30 a.m.
Qualcomm Sports & Fitness Center

A hybrid workout that combines strength, agility, endurance, and flexibility through multiple modalities. The use of TRX, Rip Trainer, ladder, kettlebells, and medicine balls are brought together by our highly-qualified instructors.
