Are you looking for a class to help prepare you for labor, birth, and motherhood?

Prenatal Yoga does all that and more. It prepares your heart, mind and body for the transformative experience of giving birth and mothering a new baby. No Matter what kind of birth you are planning, a regular practice of connecting your breath and body will positively impact your birth.

Classes open with dialogue, meditation, breath work, and then physical practice and poses. Themes relative to labor and birth are woven into class and handouts offered.

Instructor Laura McIntire has dedicated herself to the study and teaching of yoga therapies. Since 1994 she has continuously sought out respected and innovative teachers and trained in styles of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Anusara, Yoga Tune Up, MELT Hand and Foot, Restorative, Partner, Acro Yoga and AYFit. Laura's teaching is augmented by her continued studies in anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, energy work, and other therapeutic modalities.

A FILM ABOUT ONE MAN'S FIGHT TO LIVE
When world champion boxer Paul Vaden knocked out Stephan Johnson in a 1999 title fight, Vaden knew his opponent was hurt, but he had no idea he would die 15 days later. Wracked with guilt, the San Diego native then had to deal with the consequences of his victory. Experience the story of one man's struggle towards redemption in Vaden Versus, a moving new short film followed by a motivational speech by Mr. Vaden.

After retiring from the ring, Vaden has become a nationally prominent motivational speaker, corporate consultant and author. He also serves on the boards of the local Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the National Conflict Resolution Center. According to Paul, "We all have our own trials and tribulations, we all have our own fight. My goal is to have you leave this evening with a sense of purpose, reflection, motivation and willingness to reach farther than you've reached before."
