Community Service Projects

Each month we will be advertising and promoting a community service project to embark on based on the consideration of the Teen Leadership Council. We will be collaborating with community service organizations and other Jewish Agencies and Youth groups to promote community engagement and build partnerships. This is a great way to get your community service hours for the month and learn more about the community we live in.

If you come to at least four community service/leadership events or workshops, you will be invited to a Leadership Banquet in May and presented a Leadership Certificate of Merit (which looks great on college apps!).

The JCC Teen Leadership Council is teaming up with the Seniors Department to create a meaningful and enriching community service project. Teens meet with seniors from to support our seniors learning how to navigate technology. Help with iphones, Facebook, and Word processing are just some of the ways our teens can connect and serve. Participants will gain community service hours while getting to know (and learn too!) from their elders.

There you will meet our teen volunteers who will share with you their pride in the Jewish State and hand you a delicious latke.
