In the spirit of Ahavat Limud (love of learning), the LFJCC is motivating adults to build and enhance their Jewish knowledge by hosting our inaugural Adult Summer Reading Program. The LFJCC staff, other San Diego Jewish community celebrities, our partners at the Jewish Book Council (JBC), and the Astor Judaica Library have curated a fabulous list of quality books and authors to choose from. From June to September, participants will track the pages they’ve read - don’t worry, audiobooks count too! - and earn prizes along the way, all while engaging with other book lovers. Whether you’re a new or longtime reader, or just picked it up during the pandemic, our affiliate partner JBC and the Astor Judaica Library offers incredible selections of books in all areas of Jewish interest. Visit the Astor Judaica Library located at the Lawrence Family JCC today to see the wonderful books our library volunteers have selected for you!
