A volunteer librarian is generally available Wednesday mornings from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon.

LFJCC Astor Judaica Library Jewish Music Record Collection

The LFJCC Astor Judaica Library Jewish Music Recordings Collection contains over 600 vocal and instrumental records and albums of Jewish religious and secular music, many in Hebrew and Yiddish. Learn more.


Astor Judaica Library Special Jewish Music Score Collection

The LFJCC Astor Judaica Library Special Jewish Music Score Collection contains manuscripts and published works (over 1300 vocal and 100 instrumental scores) of Jewish religious and secular music. These scores are in addition to what you will find in the library’s online catalog, which also contains books with music scores. Some of the earliest scores of vocal liturgical music in this collection date from the mid-1800s. Learn more.


Jewish Music CD Collection

The LFJCC Astor Judaica Library Jewish Music CD Collection contains 360 vocal and instrumental CDs of Jewish religious and secular music. They are shelved by genre of music. Learn more.


Checking Out DVDs

The DVD collection includes documentaries, educational videos, films on holiday themes and feature films with Jewish and Israeli themes, as well as children's DVDs.

Jewish Poets of the Past

Season 16 of Jewish Poets-Jewish Voices concludes with Jewish Poets of the Past featuring the works of Yiddish poet, Abraham Sutzkever, and Israeli poet, Dahlia Ravikovitch. Various readers will recite the original works in Hebrew and Yiddish along with English translations, plus song performances by Elisheva Edelson.
