CROSSROADS FAQS
How do I access the film?
The film will be accessible through our virtual film festival platform, Eventive. You must create a free Eventive account with your email address. In order to view the film when it becomes available at 11:00 am PST on Tuesday, December 1st, you must “pre-order” the film for viewing once creating your account. After taking this step, the film will appear in your Eventive Content Library and Eventive will send you a reminder email when the content becomes available.
Need to access your personal Eventive Content Library? Head to watch.eventive.org/me and log in to your Eventive account.
When will the film be available for viewing?
The film becomes available Tuesday, December 1st at 11:00 am PST. You will have 48 hours to start watching. Once you begin, you'll have 24 hours to finish watching the film.
Will I be able to watch from anywhere in the world?
Crossroads will be geo-blocked for the San Diego County audience and only accessible from within county lines. Unfortunately, we can’t make new films available to a larger geographic area without potentially hurting their future distribution and the community of Jewish Film Festivals.
If you are a SDIJFF supporter from outside of the county, please contact Ryan Isaac at ryani@lfjcc.org or (858) 362-1128.
If I miss the live premiere of the film, will I be able to stream it later on-demand?
No, the film will only be available for a specified amount of time and not available on-demand. Showing a film during a certain time frame with a fixed amount of viewings is the only way that we’re able to have the title as a part of our virtual programming. Crossroads will only be available for viewing this one time. Mark your calendars!
Can the film be viewed more than one time?
Yes, you have full access to watch the film as you choose during the 24 hour viewing window. You will have the ability to pause, restart, and rewatch.
Will there be a Q&A session with the filmmaker after the film has aired?
Yes, we are hosting a live, virtual Q&A session with Emmy Award-winning director Ron Yassen and producer Lauren Griswold of Crossroads. The Q&A session is on Wednesday, December 2nd at 6:30 pm PST. After the Q&A is finished on December 2nd, the recorded Q&A can be viewed anytime until December 3rd at 11:00 am. It can be accessed HERE on Eventive.
Will the film be available with closed captioning, video description and/or other accessibility options?
This film does not have closed captioning.
Will I be able to test my viewing set-up before the film screening?
Yes. We highly encourage you to test your device for compatibility with the Eventive platform. Visit the Eventive Device Compatibility Page to unlock the free test video.
What do I do if I have technical problems at home while viewing the film?
Please visit the Eventive Help Page and scroll through the Frequently Asked Questions section or launch the Live Chat Support. If you are still in need of assistance, please contact Guest Services at the Lawrence Family JCC at (858) 457-3030 and we will try our best to assist you. Please note that a Guest Services representative will be available during normal business hours, 6:00 am - 5:30 pm.
