Come for the Hebrew, stay for the friendships.
Hebrew speakers, this one's for you. The Pesek Zman Club is where conversation flows, ideas spark, and Jewish culture comes to life, all in Hebrew.
Each month, we gather at the Lawrence Family JCC for lively discussions, inspiring talks, and cultural celebrations. Along the way, we share holidays, enjoy summer evenings together, and strengthen our connection to language, heritage, and each other.
We meet on the third Tuesday of every month, with extra morning sessions during the year and special evening gatherings in the summer.
Drop in for $18 per session, or choose our special welcome offer for new members. For just $25 a month for individuals or $40 a month for couples, you become full JCC members. This one-time offer gives you access to every Pesek Zman Club event, plus the fitness center, cultural programs, pools, and the full JCC community.

Artificial Intelligence (AI): The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Artificial Intelligence is changing the world and our lives at a dizzying pace. How does this affect each of us, and what should we do to ensure we are not left behind or harmed?
The lecture will discuss these topics and will include a live demonstration of popular AI tools. Elazar Harel is, first and foremost, a family man—a husband, grandfather, and father; naturally, his wife is the spice and meaning of his life. He is also an expert in all things related to information technology, a decent bridge player, a music lover, and an avid reader. Over the last two years, he has become "addicted" to everything related to AI and greatly enjoys learning and teaching about both the wonderful possibilities and the dangerous aspects of this technology.
Elazar discovered his "right brain" a few years ago and has since become a near-professional photographer. His works have appeared in numerous publications and websites. Visit his site at www.elazarharel.com. Professionally, and despite his advanced age, Elazar currently serves as the Head of Information Technology at the University of San Diego (USD). He also holds the title of CIO Emeritus at the University of California after many years of service, having worked at UCLA, then UCSD, and finally UCSF. Elazar Harel.
