Dr. Avi Marcovitz
Dr. Avi Marcovitz is a Holocaust educator, historian, and organizational leader with over 25 years of experience. He holds degrees in Semitic Studies, Administrative Education, Organizational Leadership, and Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
He has served in leadership roles at top North American schools, taught at Florida International University, and founded Best Buddies Israel, expanding inclusion programs nationwide. As Director of Education at Yad Vashem, he led international seminars, trained thousands of educators, and guided over 30 trips to Poland.
Now Director of the Holocaust Center of San Diego, Dr. Marcovitz advances Holocaust education through innovative programs that foster empathy, resilience, and moral responsibility.
