Jacqueline Semha Gmach

Jacqueline Semha Gmach has spent a lifetime committed to the furtherance of Jewish culture.  A native of Tunisia, Mrs. Gmach is the curator of several San Diego-based Jewish events - among them the renowned San Diego Jewish Book Fair. After acting as the Director of The Initiative for Moral Courage Initiative at SDSU, she initiated the Middle East North Africa USC Shoah Foundation Institute New Collection. 

Jackie’s most recent contribution is WE ARE THE TREE OF LIFE©, an initiative and an educational tool whose mission is to present the arts and culture that were created during the Holocaust. She is the author of the book, From Bomboloni to Bagel: A Story of Two Worlds and the forthcoming novel The Antiphonary of Love: The Call of The Scroll
