THE ODD POTATO

A Concert Musical for Hanukkah
Book and Lyrics by Eileen Bluestone Sherman
Music by Gail C. Bluestone

Directed by Lindsey Grant
Music Directed by Judy Grant

The Odd Potato tells the tale of Rachel and Sammy Levy's attempt to re-instill joy and laughter to their grieving father during Hanukkah using an “odd potato” and a little imagination. Based on the 1984 picture book of the same name, The Odd Potato was written by Eileen Bluestone Sherman and her sister, composer Gail C. Bluestone, and is based on a story their father used to tell them about his childhood during the Great Depression. With award winning music and a plot often described as the “Hanukkah Nutcracker” or the “Jewish Christmas Carol” every moment is fun for the entire family.

We invite you and your whole family to join us for this family-friendly Hanukkah musical which will be presented as a staged concert reading.
